For a non pre-packaged DIY project, this is a good one. I have been slowly building up my hacking street cred… Relearning to solder, putting together a few kits (Minty Boost, Drum Kit), “Hello World” on the Arduino and Launch Pad. Now onto something that I think is a good next step, building something I have been longing for: enter the mini guitar amp.
I’m learning to play electric bass and I travel a bit; I wanted something portable. I’ve been surfing for a while in search of a DIY mini guitar amp that’s battery powered. I wanted it to have good images, a parts list, and some nice schematics (as I am learning to read these). After a bit I landed on the Sweet Portable Guitar Amp by mdgrover. On the instructable you will find a good parts list (with suggested suppliers), schematics, images, sample video and some comments that were helpful. I loved the result and it was a satisfying build. I have a bit of unwanted radio signal but based on comments from some folks, this can happen if you have a strong radio station in the area.
Completed Mini Guitar Amp.
